Elephant Village One of the most ancient and original attractions in Pattaya that has been well-known for long time since Pattaya becomes one of the world's most attractive holiday destinations. Elephant Village Pattaya established since 1973

Elephant Village was established in 1973, the oldest and longest standing elephant village in Pattaya. Its main objective in the beginning is to help those elephant suffering injuring from either human action or hard working. Another important reason is to provide them habitat since the forest which is their real home has been destroying by human. 

These magnificent size creatures are well-taken care of since then before it become a tourist attraction. Not only just experience wildlife animal, every entrance fee is forwarded to be used for these elephant foods and medication. Since the village isn't a company focusing on making profit and has never been supported by any government organizations, sometime is very tough for the owner to cover all the bills incurred along the management.

Not only having fun experiencing or doing activities with elephants such as riding, performing, an taking picture but also there are many activities such as cow-cart riding, zoological experiencing, daily cultural show by professional performers, and ancient living demonstration zone.

Moreover, the elephant village has recently added a quite adventure activity of ATV excursion to allow tourists exploring through greenery environment route. A great selection of souvenirs also prepared for those who want to bring back home cute present home for their loved one. 

Since doing this needs a lot of responsibility, sacrifice, and huge amount of money to maintain and running it, especially providing enough food for the elephants. Let's get to know who is the guy behind this successful works. 

 This gentleman is Phairat Chaiyakham, the owner of Elephant village who has been sacrificing himself over 30 years for these huge wildlife animals and more than hundred staff under his responsibility. The village provides 3 daily shows a day which normally attracts more than a thousand tourists watching the 90 minutes long show, Not only being managing director, Khun Phairat also a show director because he directs and designs the show story by himself; starts with elephant showering, following with routine performance to show tourists their wildlife activities during the day through the beautiful and touching show. 

"If you are looking for a circus -like, you won't see it here", is his quote. 

He explains that those kind of shows - elephant riding or footballing,is truly not their routine so he won't do something that isn't their true life. He also added that all elephants here have been treated well and never been hurt or force to do something they are not.

General Information         Pattaya Dolphin World & Resort was established by Worapuntarach Company Limited on a 50 rai land  that was open for service on August 12th B.E. 2554. It became a tourist attraction as a water park and  performance center. It is located at 44/8 Moo.9, Tumbon Huay Yai, Banglamung District, Chonburi. The origin of the directors’ idea came from their  passion towards giving happiness to tourist of  all ages and genders without disturbing the  environment, while still preserving its uniqueness.  With this idea came the creation that is beyond the  natural setting where dolphins that can normally only  swims are now able to entertain audience and became  superstars under water. These dolphins are also smart  and confident, able to perform challenging and exciting  shows. We would be able to feel this excitement from  the very first moment audiences have close contact  with them, taking care of them, and collect details with  warm hearts. Also, with persistent training, they  ultimately became professionals. The dolphin species at  Pattaya Dolphin World & Resort are combined with  Indo-Pacific Humpback and Irrawaddy.          Apart from the shows, the resort also provides other facilities for relaxation such as spa, steakhouse, coffee house, and food court.
