Pattaya as you know alraedy it's one of the most famous beach resort destinations in the world connects Thai bay to Thailand. Not only Pattaya itself is beautiful but also small islands around do. As per your keyword search, The Best Island to Visit in Pattaya,I would say Koh Larn.  

 

The reason I choose Koh Larn is because of it's located just 14.5 Kms from Pattaya beach, 30 minutes on ferry boat. Here in Kohlarn seems to have everything tourists looking for, from little facility to 5 stars service one. Ferry boat is available from morning till dark at Bali Hai Pier on South Pattaya beach (close to walking street), and the fee is less than a hundred baht. 

On Koh Larn, there are 5 beaches around the island where you can pick which one suits your style the most, from the most quiet to busiest one.Rental service and beach activities such as bike rental service, balloon, lifevest jacket, Banana Boat, Jetskie, etc. The island itself still remains its original beauty even though it has been visited by thousands of people a day. This is because of Pattay city plans to keep it nature to be in balance. However, since it has been visited by many tourists it seems like it can't resist the human destroying power. You should see some damaging things around and along the road side, but in overall still beautiful. 

  One Unique thing about Koh Larn that become landmark is the entrance bridge which has been built beautifully along the mountain line, approximately 200 meters long. You can just slowly walk through the greenery right side while beautiful clear sea water is on your left, here is the most favorite photo taking point you shouldn't miss. Once you get to the beach you should be welcome warmly by beach-chair vendors offering you all kind of good deals - you are suggested to take it easy and find the best spot for yourself, don't rush to make decision. 

 On this picture is the beach-chair area, it's pretty long and wide range of offers, service, food, massage, nail paint, hair making, etc.

Concerning food menu and price, my personal opinion since I'm Thai, I think the price is quite a bit high for Thai people but for western or tourists maybe reasonable because of the vendors here they have to take all ingredients source from Pattaya land which cost them additional transportation fee of course. So, don't blame them, just take your time and spend you quality time as much as possible. Even though it may a bit dearer still I believe it's going to make you poor comparing to what you get from here.
